Benjamin Campbell - MAGIC LOVE / HYPNOTIZED

Following a recent vinyl debut, veteran Italian producers Carlo Cavalli and Roberta Bombelli continue to offer-up high-quality deep house under the Benjamin Campbell alias. While the cover's nod to Roule Records suggest disco-house resides inside, A-side 'Magic Love' is a warming, organ-sporting slab of selectively jazzy haziness with a genuinely classic U.S deep house feel. All three mixes hit the spot, though it's the 'NYC Mix' that's arguably the most potent. Over on the flip, 'Hypnotised' is similarly loved-up and groovy, with rising jazz-funk bass, live bass, Chic-style guitar riffs and mazy electric piano solos catching the ear on the standout 'Original Mix'.
