Drumpattern - Rainbow Beach Vol 1

A mysterious 12' surfaces this week by the enigmatic Drumpattern with the Rainbow EP. There's seriously deep and emotive material on this one; from the underrated late night bounce of opening cut 'Outer Drive' to the darkly Detroit techno soul of 'Go Ill Go Deep' on the A-side. On the flip, the glassy-eyed and bittersweet tones of 'Body Music' call to mind classic Chicago and finally the title track with its distant string sounds that meander in and out of the mix is underpinned by dusty rhythms creating a visceral effect.
