Andy Vaz and Alessandro Vascaro's Yore label is now 15 years old. The imprint has maintained a consistently high-quality sound throughout that time, in part because the Cologne-based duo has chosen only to release music that meets their exacting standards. That means any new EP is worth checking. Predictably, there's plenty of high-grade goodness to be found on this five-tracker, which presents cuts from experienced producer Jordan Fields under a variety of aliases. Our picks of a strong bunch include squelchy, sturdy, analogue-rich deep house-meets-P-funk opener 'Track 1', the breezy, piano-laden deep house jazz of 'Track 2', the breakbeat-driven, energy-soaked hedonism of 'Keep It Going', and the jazzy, Afro-house bounce of 'Needs Love'.
